Comparative (صفة المقارنة) - للمقارنة بين شخصين أو شيئين:

• الصفات القصيرة (مقطع واحد): صفة + er + than (hotter than, colder than).
• الصفات الطويلة (مقطعين فأكثر): more + صفة + than (more beautiful than).
• الصفات الشاذة: good → better than, bad → worse than, far → farther than.

Superlative (صفة التفضيل) - للمقارنة بين ثلاثة أو أكثر:

• الصفات القصيرة: the + صفة + est (the hottest, the coldest).
• الصفات الطويلة: the most + صفة (the most beautiful).
• الصفات الشاذة: good → the best, bad → the worst, far → the farthest.

القاعدة: الفاعل + is/am/are + التصريف الثالث + (by + الفاعل الأصلي)
